In the latest clip, Omar Gooding recalled having multiple physical altercations with “Baby Boy” co-star Ving Rhames. The actor explained that the incidents occurred during rehearsals and didn’t get too out of hand. DJ Vlad and Omar also ran through his notable scenes in the film before the actor talked about working with Snoop Dogg more times after wrapping the John Singleton film.
Sounds like Omar didn’t get along with a lot of people

Playmakers was great on ESPN. Omar was awesome as usual but the show was pulled for some "controversial" topics after a season. I’m sure the NFL had something to do with that, too real for TV even back then.

So, the scene which Omar’s character whips the "tough boy" with a belt has a connection to the original Candyman. The "tough boy" actor was the little kid Jake in CANDYMAN (1992).
Playmakers will go down as one of the REALEST shows ever conceived…….The NFL threatened to pull their programming off if they didn’t cancel that show………

Playmakers was such a good show. Hate ESPN canceled it after just one season. Omar was good on that show also.
I thought the movie was horrible and the acting cringe… Tyrese is one of the worst actors ever.
My favorite scene is after Melvin was done spitting knowledge to Jody and sweetpea and walked away they started talking trash Melvin turns around and said "what" and they was mute ???????? hilarious

I’ve been watching quite a bit of these Vlad interviews. My conclusion:
1.) The guests are entertaining and fun to listen to.
2.) Vlad is terrible to mediocre in his interviewing style. It’s almost as if he does his research the day of the interview. He sounds like some guy who got pulled from the street and was asked to interview someone famous on the spot. Keep reading and enlightening yourself. Your job is to be better informed than your guest.
