I think somehow after listening to Beyonce murder her verses like that of a lyrical rap beast, people sort of developed amnesia and forgot that she is a vocal technician & has such impressive agility in her voice. In response to your comment about her sounding robotic, it could be a layer of autotune added to her voice to give it some flair; however, she is one of the most technically perfect singers of our generation, thus executing complex runs is a walk in the park for her. All tea & shade.
