I’m not even a heavy Meek fan, but the bar absolutely did not register in my mind as “disrespect.” Put yourself in Meek’s shoes, it’s not difficult to understand what he meant. He’s going out fighting rather than simply giving up and accepting his fate, and is comparing himself to the legend Kobe Bryant through the connecting word “chopper.” If anything, it’s the complete opposite of what the internet claims.
