Lil Zay “Off The Porch” Interview

We recently sat down with Mississippi artist Lil Zay for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about the way of life in Jackson, being able to travel around the country doing music, reveals how he got into rapping, jumping off the porch, one of his friends setting him up, getting shot during the robbery attempt, recording his first song when he was 16, his “GG Freestyle” video blowing up, growing up on Chicago music, still being in high school when he music blew up, doing shows while still in school, moving to Houston after he graduated, his “Goin Str8 In” series, working with NLE Choppa on Pt. 3, reveals his creative process, Bankroll Freddie supporting him, working with Peezy, reveals that Gucci Mane reached out to him to sign him, manifesting the deal with 1017, working with Gucci on “Didn’t Believe”, his buzzing new single “Up Da Score”, working on his upcoming album, the music scene in Jackson, his thoughts on what its going to take to get Jackson to the next level, reaching back to artists in Jackson, goals, advice fro the youth, and much more!
