It’s super hard to trust a man to take care of you when you always had to take care of everybody else. My Dad went to prison for stealing federal plates and I became the breadwinner in my family, so I feel Kyomi’s pain. But let somebody just hold you down for a minute and trust yourself, you know how to hustle hard so everything will be ok.

Girl, honey child, don’t use your broken heart to fix his. Let the therapist do that. In addition, why are ya’ll in couples counseling when you ain’t married and aren’t in a faithful long term committed relationship.
They need to work on themselves individually first, before they go on couples therapy sessions together.

Kiyomi back story struggle is very common for young black women in the black community!! When their is no father in the home mom and the oldest child pick up the slack!! Which creates a pattern of broken homes and heart’s, while pop’s is locked up away and probably innocent of all charges at the same dang time smh ????
