He’s not your typical rapper. Meet MB, aka Ishyne49, the multi-talented artist who’s traded the football field for the recording booth, and is now gearing up to perform at this year’s ATL Hip Hop Day Festival on Saturday, August 31.
The Backstory: Beats, Bars & Blitzes
A Louisville native, MB began his musical journey in a singing group at age 12—only to pivot his path and chase a different dream: sports. By 2005, he earned a spot with the Atlanta Falcons training camp, a major accomplishment for any aspiring athlete, even if the NFL dream was short-lived.
But that setback became the spark. Still in 2005, MB dove into music production, crafting beats, and sharpening his artistry. After years behind the scenes, he officially dropped his first songs in 2021, marking the launch of his career in the music world.
Fast forward to now: MB has perfected a unique blend of passion, perseverance, and polished production—a combination that makes him one of Atlanta’s most compelling voices.
