912KEEM, a talented artist with a powerful message, will be taking the stage at the upcoming Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival. This year’s festival holds special significance as it marks the celebration of 50 Years of Hip Hop, while also providing a platform for artists like 912KEEM to use their voice to address critical social issues.

As we gather to commemorate the cultural phenomenon of hip hop, 912KEEM’s presence brings an essential reminder of the real-life challenges faced by marginalized communities. The festival will witness the live performance of his poignant song, “Long Live Abe,” a tribute to Ahmaud Arbery, who tragically lost his life to a racially motivated hate crime on February 23, 2020, while jogging in Satilla Shores near Brunswick, Georgia.

Ahmaud Arbery’s murder is just one example of the countless senseless killings that have befallen young black men across the country and beyond. It stands as a chilling reminder of the ongoing struggle against systemic racism and the lack of basic human rights for oppressed communities.

Born and raised in Brunswick, GA, 912KEEM’s connection to this tragedy runs deep. As a 2016 Morehouse College graduate, he not only witnessed the devastating impact of Ahmaud’s death on his community but also played an active role in advocating for justice. His passionate dedication led him to move to Los Angeles, where he continued his fight for justice, using his art and platform to express his frustrations and call for change.

912KEEM’s performance at the Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival is more than just entertainment; it is a call to action. Through his music, he brings attention to the urgent need for societal transformation, aiming to inspire dialogue, understanding, and empathy.

The festival is honored to host an artist like 912KEEM, whose dedication to social justice reflects the true spirit of hip hop – a genre that has always stood as a voice for the voiceless and a platform for change. As we celebrate 50 Years of Hip Hop, we must remember the genre’s roots and its capacity to empower communities and spark important conversations.

Join us at the Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival as we unite in support of artists like 912KEEM and their commitment to using their talent for a greater purpose. Together, we can create a world where such senseless violence is not a part of our reality, and where every individual can truly be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Be sure to catch 912KEEM’s powerful performance at the Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival, and let his message resonate as we collectively strive for a more just and equitable society.
